Meghan has kicked off 2025 by activating her first personal social media account since she closed her lifestyle blog, The Tig, and deleted her Instagram ahead of her royal wedding to Prince Harry. And her first post under her new solo handle, @meghan, finds her in a typically wholesome scenario.

In a video posted to her IG today (Jan 1), we see her frolicking on the beach, dressed in a laidback California mom combo of a white linen shirt and jeans, with tousled, undone hair and a barely-there pedicure. She beams as she scrawls “2025” into the sand in the clip. In her monochrome profile picture, she’s also seen wearing white—a fresh, neutral tone that’s in keeping with the quiet luxury look she has honed since relocating back to the US.
Having spent the holiday period in her beloved Montecito, Santa Barbara with her family, Markle launched her new profile on the same day Prince Harry was spotted taking surfing lessons in California with their son, Prince Archie. And while it’s unclear what kind of content we can expect from the Duchess (she has a separate account for her American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand, which has been dormant since 2024), she is fast gaining followers, including her longtime friend Serena Williams, Chrissy Teigen, and Mindy Kaling.
