2025 SAG Awards Host Will Be Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell is set to host the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The actress/producer will taking on hosting duties for a second time. In 2018, Bell served as the first SAG Awards host since the ceremony’s inception in 1995. Megan Mullally took over hosting duties the following year. While the SAG Awards boasts numerous celebrity presenters, the show has not had another host since then. (Presenter Idris Elba opened last year’s show with a brief monologue but was not actually serving in the role of host.)

“Thrilled to be hosting the SAG Awards again this year,” Bell said in a statement. “I’m honored to be asked back and can’t wait to share the evening with my fellow actors, doing what we do best … celebrating ourselves 🙂.”

Bell currently stars in Netflix’s comedy series Nobody Wants This alongside Adam Brody. She also serves as an executive producer on the series.

“Kristen Bell’s wit, warmth and charm makes her the perfect fit for our show — a night celebrating actors and the outstanding performances of the year,” SAG Awards executive producer Jon Brockett said. “Plus — everybody wants this.”

Bell’s other recent acting credits include leading roles in the Amazon Prime comedy film The People We Hate at the Wedding, alongside Allison Janney and Ben Platt, and Netflix’s parody comedy The Woman in the House. Bell is also set to reprise her role as Joanne in Season 2 of Nobody Wants This.

Other credits include The Good Place; Do, Re, & Mi; Queenpins; Frozen and its sequel; Bad Moms; Like Father; The Lifeguard; The Boss; Hit & Run; Movie 43; Some Girls,; You Again; Burlesque; When in Rome; Couples Retreat; Forgetting Sarah Marshall; Pulse; Serious Moonlight; Spartan; Veronica Mars; Parks & Recreation; Unsupervised; Deadwood; Heroes; and Party Down.

As previously announced, Jane Fonda will be honored with the SAG Life Achievement Award at the ceremony. Nominees for the 31st SAG Awards will be unveiled Jan. 8.

The SAG Awards ceremony will stream live on Netflix on Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. This marks the second year of a multiyear partnership between the SAG Awards and Netflix.

Silent House Productions will return to produce the ceremony. Jon Brockett, along with Silent House’s Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn, will serve as executive producers.
