The “Love Is Blind” family is expanding!
Amber and Matt Barnett — who met and tied the knot in Season 1 — announced they were expecting their first baby on Tuesday’s debut episode of “The Love Seat” podcast hosted by fellow “LIB” alums Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton.
“Over summer break, he just went and knocked me up,” Amber revealed.
Speed-Hamilton immediately gushed over the news, exclaiming, “There’s a baby Barnett on the way!”
Amber then joked that she may have already been pregnant at Hamilton’s most recent birthday bash.
“I was bartending at that party and I know we were all getting turnt,” the expectant mom said. “So, little baby B might come out ready to throw down with us.”
Speed-Hamilton then expressed her “biggest congratulations” to the parents-to-be, while her Hamilton added that he’s “ready to be an uncle.”
Amber and Matt also shared the exciting news on Instagram Tuesday with a video montage of memories since getting married. The last image showed the couple cradling Amber’s baby bump.
“Where it started, Where we’ve been, Where we’re at…” they captioned the sweet post.
Soon after the reality TV duo shared the news on social media, many of their followers took to the comments to react.
“OMG THERE IS FINALLY GONNA BE A LOVE IS BLIND BABY?!” one fan wrote, while a second added, “OMG!! The baby we have all been waiting for!!! Massive congratulations 😍❤️.”
A third admirer couldn’t help but also gush over the couple’s expanding family. “Awwwh baby Amber and Barnet is on the way.. 😍😍😍😍😍,” they wrote.
Amber and Matt met in 2018 while filming Netflix’s “Love Is Blind” and tied the knot that November.
Their love story aired on Netflix in February 2020, which Matt described as “one of the craziest, most wonderful experiences of my life.”
The pregnancy news comes a week after Amber took to Instagram to shut down speculation that she and Matt weren’t together anymore amid her social media break. “Yes, @barnettisblind and I are still married,” she wrote.
