Margot Robbie Gives Birth to Her First Child

Congratulations are in order for Margot Robbie.

The Barbie actor and her husband Tom Ackerley have welcomed their first child, according to People.

Representatives for Robbie confirmed she was pregnant back in July, after paparazzi photos emerged of the actor displaying her baby bump in a crop top on vacation in Lake Como. Since then, she’s embraced elevated neutrals as her pregnancy style: during her babymoon in Sardinia, she wore a white button-down with low-rise black drawstring pants and a bucket hat. Meanwhile, at Wimbledon, she chose a white draped Alaïa dress. “Post-Barbie, Robbie has leaned into neutrals, and her maternity style has proven no exception,” Vogue wrote of her outfits.

Both Robbie and Ackerley have been extremely private throughout her pregnancy: other than having a representative confirm the news on their behalf, neither has spoken publicly about the matter. However, in 2018, Robbie told online magazine Porter about her excitement to eventually have a family: “If I’m looking into my future 30 years from now… I want to see a big Christmas dinner with tons of kids there,” she said.

Ackerley and Robbie first met in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française, and married in 2016 with a private ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia. They also run a production company, LuckyChap, together, with some of their most notable films including Saltburn, Promising Young Woman, and the mega-blockbuster Barbie.
