A smitten Selena Gomez praised her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, on social media after he received an honorable mention in People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” 2024 issue.
“Not only do you love me unconditionally… You always get me my Taco Bell Mexican pizza,” the Emilia Peréz star, 32, wrote via her Instagram Story Monday over a photo of the music producer, 36, from his People photo shoot.
Blanco appeared in the image laying across a dinner table, while wearing a black suit and no shoes, as he opened a silver platter of food.
In another Instagram Story, Gomez shared a quote directed at her beau that read, “I still haven’t figured out how to sit across from you/ And not be madly in love with everything you do.”
Although Blanco is featured in People’s long-awaited issue, he did not covet the mag’s top spot for Sexiest Man. That honor will be revealed Tuesday evening on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
In the meantime, however, Blanco gave fans a glimpse of what makes him such a stud by sharing how he treats Gomez so well and keeps her head over heels for him.
“I [still] go all out for every date,” he told People. “It doesn’t mean spending your entire bank account. It means being attentive and listening.”
The “Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends” author highlighted that one of his strengths is also his cooking.
“Even if you’re terrible at cooking, [your partner will] like it because you did it,” he advised.
“Ask your partner what they want to eat. Don’t try to cook them what you want to eat. If you don’t know how to cook it — learn it.”
Some of Blanco’s other tips for added sex appeal included making first dates experiences, dressing with confidence, gift-giving and prioritizing self-care — even though he doesn’t shower every day.
“I’m really clean, but I don’t shower every day,” he admitted. “Some people I know shower two to three times a day, but I feel like the oils on your skin don’t have time to rejuvenate and get juicy.”
Despite Gomez’s seal of approval, however, many people on social media sounded off on the fact that they didn’t believe Blanco deserved a spot on People’s list.
“benny blanco and sexiest man alive should never be in the same sentence,” one critic wrote via X, receiving more than 100,000 “likes.”
Blanco himself has said in interviews, though, that he thinks Gomez is out of his league.
“I wake up every day and I look in the mirror and I’m like, ‘How did this happen?B ut until anyone figures it out – whee!” he said on “Today with Hoda and Jenna” in May.
Blanco and Gomez have been dating since 2023. The “Only Murders in the Building” star previously said that no one has ever loved her like the record producer.
“I’ve never been loved this way,” she told Vanity Fair in September. “He’s just been a light. A complete light in my life. He’s my best friend. I love telling him everything.”
