It’s official: The ’00s are back. If you need further proof, look to Kim Kardashian, who took to Instagram on Monday, November 18, sporting a noughties-esque belly button ring.
She posed for her followers in Y2K-style low-slung sweatpants and an itsy-bitsy crop top — with just a hint of the era’s requisite underboob — that revealed her pierced navel. Though she hasn’t been seen wearing the body jewelry in recent years, she was photographed with the piercing in 2007.
The sexy snap was all but hidden in the carousel of photos, which Kardashian, 44, captioned “life lately,” jammed between two more wholesome family PJs pics, just in time for the holidays.
Her preternaturally toned midriff was accented by the ring, which was a barbell style and featured a triangle-shaped gemstone on her navel that caught the flash of her iPhone camera.
She isn’t the only family member showing off her piercings. Khloé Kardashian got a second piercing in her ear, as Kylie Jenner posted a hilarious behind-the-scenes video of the moment via Instagram on Tuesday, November 19, which shows the entrepreneur taking deep breaths as Khloé says repeatedly, “I don’t know if I can do this.” At the end of the Instagram Reel, Jenner, 27, turned the camera around to show off her heavily adorned ear stack.

However, the Kardashian-Jenner clan is far from the only A-list group to go under the needle as of late. The piercing has steadily been making a comeback in recent years.
Billie Eilish was spotted with belly bling on her social media. The accessory got the high-fashion stamp of approval in November 2023 when Daniel Roseberry made a one-of-a-kind Schiaparelli look for Margot Robbie that featured a body-skimming corset gown with a navel ring on the bodice, creating the illusion of a piercing.
