’Tis the season for cozy dressing, snow bunny sartorial sensibilities, Alpine ’fits. Chloë Sevigny, everyone’s favorite New York it-girl, looked instead to take inspiration from the mountains for her Christmas-time look.
She was appearing at the 47th Annual Kennedy Center Honors a few weeks ago in Washington D.C., a yearly event which is set to air December 22. The event celebrates the lifetime achievements of America’s greatest artists: this year, that included The Grateful Dead, Bonnie Raitt, Francis Ford Coppola, Arturo Sandoval, and The Apollo Theater. The event was hosted by 2023 honoree, Queen Latifah.
A series of portraits were taken of attendees—one with Sevigny (a known Dead Head) and 2024 honorees, The Grateful Dead. Sevigny was there to pay homage to the band.
Earlier in the evening, Sevigny wore a custom white and silver Saint Laurent gown—romantic and old world, with medieval princess style long sleeves and a sheer lace, layered cape top.
New backstage photos of the event show Sevigny styled more for the land of wooden chalets, snow, ice and green Alpine pastures, wearing Miu Miu’s Bertha patchwork long dress from Fall 2020. The multi-color patchwork, round-necked dress features sweet ruffled and bow detailing, and falls at the ankle. She wore the dress with round-toed black boots. Perfect for traversing rocky terrain.
The Feud: Capote vs The Swans actor tops off another year of incredible style. She was more recently photographed at the Gotham Awards in another Saint Laurent dress by Anthony Vaccarello: a wine-colored, big sleeved, and strapless babydoll mini. She styled it with sheer tights and olive green peep-toe heels.
