Sofia Richie Grainge was already test-driving the trend in the States, as a mere 72 hours before Vaccarello’s fashion show in October 2024, she casually soft-launched the new Saint Laurent leather bomber jacket on Instagram.
Posing poolside in a clingy black maxi dress and flip-flops, Grainge took the snap from the side to show the jacket’s generous proportions.
Even the most dedicated leather jacket devotees, like Lady Gaga, are trading in their slimmer moto styles in favor of a roomier alternative.
Taylor Swift also got the memo, as demonstrated when she sported a leather Chiefs jacket that her stylist bought from a fan on eBay to Travis Kelce’s football game in November 2024. The fan recognized the coat’s familiar creases, which had the same lived-in look seen at Saint Laurent.
