Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been fascinated by Cinderella’s iconic glass slippers. They were so beautiful in the animated movie that they captured my attention and haven’t let go, decades later. Why wouldn’t you want to wear enchanted shoes made of shimmering, sparkling glass, so precious that only one person could slip her foot in them? Well, there’s the whole practicality aspect of wearing shoes made from glass, so maybe a manicure like Megan Thee Stallion’s is the next best thing.
The rapper, who is set to drop the second half of her Megan album this week, stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon wearing a manicure that Cinderella would definitely approve of. As usual, she opted for her favorite long square shape as the base for the set. At first, her nails seem almost translucent in tone, but when you zoom in, you can see that while they’re definitely more see-though than they are opaque, they’re also painted with a frosty pale pewter-silver color reminiscent of Cinderella’s fairytale footwear. They’re sheer, but not. They’re silver, but not. They’re simple, but full of magical little details.
