Inside Camila Cabello’s PFW—From Playing Dress Up to Walking the Runway

Camila Cabello is no stranger to Paris Fashion Week. The past few seasons, the pop star has been spotted sitting front row for both ready-to-wear and couture offerings. For the spring 2025 collections, Cabello once again touched down in the City of Light, excited to take in all of the new designs. “I’ve recently loved watching fashion documentaries to learn more about fashion and fashion history,” Cabello tells Vogue. “It’s making it really exciting for me to play with my own style, experiment more, and also see all the new innovative looks coming down the runway.”

Of course, part of the fun of attending PFW is treating the week like a high-fashion playground. Cabello says she felt the pressure to deliver perfectly-cool looks for the front row—but she saw that as a fun challenge to experiment with her wardrobe. “The pressure is a more positive influence than negative,” she says. “We always want to figure out a way to deliver a look that is interesting and that will be exciting to the fans. Fashion Week is also a really great time to flex our versatility and try a bunch of different new ideas.”

Cabello, who released her album C,XOXO this summer, certainly had enough shows and designers to play around with. Hitting up the presentations of labels like Miu Miu, Vetements, and Rabanne, she turned to each fashion house for her PFW ensembles. “The C,XOXO creative direction is the driving force behind all of my looks this season, so it’s been super fun to play with the album aesthetic through the lenses of these different designers,” says Cabello (who also walked the runway, for the star-studded L’Oreal Paris show). At Rabanne, for instance, she slipped into one of the label’s signature chainmail dresses. “I loved how it had both harder and more feminine elements, she says. “The hardness of the metal material mixed with the soft fluidity of the look and the floral details. I’ve loved playing with that balance with my looks.”
