Jonathan Lipnicki Addresses Misconception He Stepped Away From Acting (Exclusive)

Jonathan Lipnicki is setting the record straight.

The former child star—who rose to fame in Stuart Little and Jerry Maguire in the ‘90s—recently clarified that, although he wasn’t acting much in the late 2000s, he never “stepped away” from his Hollywood career.

“Really, it was kind of just going to high school,” he exclusively told E! News’ Francesca Amiker. “I wasn’t, like, ‘I’m stepping away.’ I still had my agent, I’d audition here and there.”

The 34-year-old said he shifted his focus during that time, adding, “I played water polo in high school. I went to prom, I did all the normal stuff. I played youth league sports. So, yeah, [acting] wasn’t the only fixture in my life.”

And while Jonathan shared he has “really great parents that were there to guide” him through his public school experience, he admitted that his schooling wasn’t the only reason for his absence from the spotlight.
