Taylor Swift Reveals (Temporary!) Tattoo at Tonight’s NFL Game

A red lip? Almost always. But for tonight’s Kansas City Chiefs game, Taylor Swift added something new to her routine while cheering on beau Travis Kelce—a smattering of shimmering freckles across her nose and cheeks.

Dressed to thrill (and hopefully, win) in a strapless tartan dress, she let her beauty look do the real talking. We have long documented the eternal appeal of freckles, whether it’s a smattering across the bridge of a nose or clouds across the entire body. They are the sign of a beach vacation, fun in the sun, and more—but more diligent beauty lovers have recently begun faking the look using eyeliner, henna, or specialized pens that give the look of freckles without the sun damage.

Is Swift’s take on the look a sign that Flash Tats—the Coachella mainstay—is the next aughts trend to make a resurgence? Maybe, though I’m not quite sure I’m ready for the comeback.
