Tom Holland revealed he sometimes checks Google to make sure his girlfriend, Zendaya, is OK because of his “anxiety.”
The “Spider-Man: Homecoming” star got candid about his protectiveness over the actress during an appearance on Samah Dada’s “On the Menu” podcast on Thursday.
“I’m not on socials, and I delete [the apps] when I’m not using [them],” he said. “So sometimes I — it’s more of a bit of an anxiety thing — but like I’ll check, to see if everything’s good and just make sure we’re all cool.”
“So I just give it a little Google, look [through] the news, and I’m like, ‘She’s good. We’re fine,’” Holland, 28, added.
The English actor is notoriously protective over Zendaya, 28, and most recently guarded her from swarming paparazzi while out to dinner in New York City last weekend.
A video obtained by TMZ showed the “Avengers: Infinity War” star politely move a photographer to make space for the “Euphoria” actress as they left the Nine Orchard Hotel.
The couple then walked off holding hands.
That same night, a social media clip also showed Holland shoving people out of the way after Zendaya, who had stopped to sign autographs, got surrounded by excited fans.
He was then seen pulling the “Dune” star away from the crowd.
The couple matched in maroon outfits for the NYC outing, with the “Challengers” star wearing a leather Louis Vuitton dress and Holland sporting a T-shirt and dress pants.
The Bero founder and the Disney Channel alum were first romantically linked in July 2021 when they were photographed kissing in Los Angeles.
They met on the set of the “Spider-Man” franchise.
Holland and Zendaya are known to keep details of their romance under wraps, but they often give one another sweet public shout-outs.
In 2021, the “Uncharted” star told the Associated Press that his girlfriend provides “companionship” and a “shoulder to cry on” amid their sky-rocketing fame.
The following year, Zendaya raved to Entertainment Tonight about having Holland’s “support and love” to keep her grounded.
