It was the week before Christmas and, in a stunning turn of events, Victoria Beckham could be spotted encouraging her 32.9 million followers to shop Victoria Beckham. The designer had uploaded a video to Instagram stories, caressing the sides of a £1,390 cami from her spring/summer 2025 collection, while packing for the holidays. “I am trying to decide what to wear for New Year’s Eve,” she said. “I think this might be the one.”
But something – ie Nicola Peltz Beckham, who wore a flame-red corset to her in-laws’s Miami Christmas – must have convinced her otherwise: Victoria spent New Year’s Eve in a black satin bodice. Eyes cornered with a deep-blue pigment and arms draped around David in a lustrous shirt redolent of his days as the UK’s foremost “metrosexual”, she looked as though she had travelled back to the Posh Spice ’90s. “Dream big,” she captioned the requisite Instagram post. “Then dream even bigger in 2025.”

Victoria, who spent the festive period dueting “Islands in the Stream,” enjoying airport literature and unsettling visits from Santa Claus impersonators, had much to celebrate from 2024. It was the year she turned 50, secured a seat at Buckingham Palace, made amends with the flat shoe movement, and the year her fashion house first turned a profit: a result, perhaps, of consolidating her role as its best living advertisement. “I’ve proved that if you really work hard and believe in yourself, the sky’s the limit,” she told British Vogue back in April. “I always say ‘dream big, and then dream even bigger’.
