Romantic Sharpness was the title of the fall 2025 collection from Pronounce. Designers Yushan Li and Jun Zhou again chose to show in Milan, as they did for fall 2024. This season was deeply inspired by the past, as the duo imagined an ancient warrior time traveling from olden days to show all his fragility and humanity—a gentle soldier. All this was translated by reinterpreting the corset as contemporary armor used to express gender fluidity. The red touches in the collection recalled this warrior and the blood of his battles; the cut-outs that recurred on different silhouettes represented wounds and vulnerability.
What was definitely new in this fall collection was the introduction of tailored proposals that can be fully customized to involve the Pronounce customer in the conception of the garments. Thus, it is possible to choose not only materials, colors and sizes, but also small details such as the natural stone buttons like white jade, gray agate, tiger eye, black obsidian, and rock crystal quartz, among the many combinations, all coming from a Shanghai supplier.
The role played by sartorial pieces was central, both for the Mao suits and the more classical ones. The twist for these garments was that they were made in knitted jerseys that made them very fresh and elegant. The asymmetries that recalled, once again, human fragility and unbalanced emotions, were a strong leitmotif within the collection, mainly on jackets and coats. But the handwoven looks were the signature for this season, both because they retained the typical Pronounce ropes, often present as prints, and because they represented the tendency towards craftsmanship that made the collection adhere most strongly to reality.
